Open Access Facility

The Diagnostic Endoscopy Centre is an open access facility, which means the majority of patients can book in for treatment without first having a consultation with the Gastroenterologist. There are some exceptions to this rule to ensure patients have the necessary pre-procedure test performed.

Patients who have serious or numerous co-morbidities may also be required to see the Doctor prior to treatment to ensure their care is specifically managed. If you are unsure if you need a pre-procedure consultation please phone our staff who will discuss your personal history with you.
