Our Staff
Clinical Staff
All our clinical staff are experts in the areas of diagnostic and therapeutic gastroenterology and routinely perform colonoscopy and gastroscopy. Please refer to the list of procedures performed at the DEC for the tertiary referrals also available.
Nursing Staff
The registered nurses employed by the DEC have been qualified for a minimum of eight years. Our dedicated nurses are focused on providing the best possible patient outcomes whilst maintaining the highest levels of patient care and confidentiality.
Cleaning Technicians
Our cleaning technicians have all undertaken certified training in endoscopic cleaning from Olympus and Pentax. They have all successfully completed the Queensland Department of Health Interactive Endoscope Reprocessing Program.
Administration Staff
Our administration staff have received comprehensive training in the optimal use of the Blue Chip program used at the DEC for patient management.
All Receptionists have completed medical terminology training. Clinical coding is completed in-house by externally trained staff in ICD-10 AM coding. Reception staff have a wide ranging knowledge of no gap fees, health fund contracts and mandatory reporting requirements.
Our Typing staff have extensive experience from varied backgrounds and this enhances the level of service delivery we offer to patients and our referral base.
Our Accounts Payable staff are extremely well versed in Medicare and Department of Veteran Affairs guidelines, no gap billing practices and health fund contracts for accommodation and theatre fees.
